Tuition: It is our policy that there are NO REFUNDS of tuition for any reason. Please do not enroll unless you plan to attend regularly. Our school year runs from mid-August to mid-June. We hope that each stu- dent will complete the year, but if a student should discontinue classes, one month’s notice must be given to the school. All monthly tuition
is due at the FIRST of the month. Tuition received after the tenth of the month will be subject to a $10 late charge. Please help us meet our obligations by paying tuition on time. There will be a $30 service charge on all returned checks. Annual tuition paid in full by September 10, will receive a 10% discount. To set up your parent portal for paying for tuition and costumes by credit card, please visit the ADA website and follow prompts on link to Akada.

Makeups: If a student must miss a class due to illness, a makeup class is always available. There are no deductions given for missed classes. Makeup classes should be taken at the same level or one lower class level. Please call the office to arrange makeup classes.

Class Observation: It is our belief that students work more pro- ductively when not being observed. Teachers need students’ attention without distraction to teach effectively.

Snow Days: The Academy of Dance Arts will make announce- ments by email and social media if the studio is closed due to inclement weather. Be sure the office has your email address on file. Should classes be cancelled due to weather, two weeks notice will be given for a makeup class.

Performances: An annual student production is held in May or June. Recital participation is optional but encouraged as performing
is part of a dance education. By purchasing a recital costume you are agreeing to adhere to studio recital policies. Recital Dress Rehearsal is MANDATORY for all performances. Students age 9 and older may audition for the Dance Arts Ensemble. The Ensemble presents at least one concert each year as well as represents the Academy at various local and charity events. Auditions are held in September.

Student Code of Conduct
-
I am here by choice.
-
I am here to learn, to achieve, to acquire an appreciation for the arts, and the discipline imparted by the study of dance.
-
My dress to and from the Academy will include cover up garments.
-
Before entering the classroom, my hair and attire will meet the requirements of the dress code. I understand that t-shirts, sweatsuits, costumes and swimwear are inappropriate attire for dance class. I understand that large jewelry and chewing gum are not permitted in the classroom.
-
I will respect the rights of others at all times.
Special Notes
-
The Academy maintains proper safeguards at all times but makes no representation either expressed or implied regarding physical capa- bilities of any student. Regular attendance is a must. Each student is important to the progress of the whole class. Interest is kept where there is progress and development. Irregular attendance slows both.
-
Please deliver dancers no more than 10 minutes prior to class time. All students must be picked up within 10 minutes of their last class ending.
-
Those who repeatedly miss first exercises will be asked to reschedule. This is for your protection as improper warm-up could result in injury.
-
Classes with less than 5 registered students may be rescheduled.
-
Failure to comply with studio policies regarding tuition, attire and recital may result in dismissal from the Academy.
